Techniness: How to correct Google

Not Long ago I found this question on Quora

“Is it possible to correct Google if they are wrong about my country?”

I replied to it but I thought to make a complete detailed article on this Topic. As many of us know that Google is a Search Engine, not Wikipedia or any kind of blog which provides data or Information.

Thus what I understand from this question is that on some keyword or query search on Google the article or blog showing up is providing wrong Information or misleading the people or it can be that the searcher is thinking like this. I mean maybe the searcher doesn’t know the answer (information or data) correctly.

If it’s the first case where the article writer or any type of content creator has made a mistake then there are two ways to help people find the correct Information. The first is the easy way and the other is the hard way. Let us Discuss both one by one.

The Easy Way:

Contact the creator of that content to correct the Information. Mostly Blogs have the Contact Form. If you do not find any COntact form then try to contact the content creator by the provided social media profile links given in that Blog. And, Still, If you do not find any Contact Form or Social media profile Links Go and comment on the article and tell the creator about the wrong information detailedly. I highly doubt that you won’t find any of the above-mentioned ways to contact the author.

What if the content creator refuses you to change his content because he does not think the same as you about the information or you do not find any way to contact the content creator. The only choice we have left then is to give feedback to Google. If any of this won’t help which I highly doubt then you need to go through the hard way.

The Hard Way:

The harder way is a little hard. You need to create the content with correct Information and do SEO So, that your content gets a higher rank on Google Search. I will guide you on how can you do this fast. First of all, choose the platform Like Blogger or Medium. I recommend you choose Medium or Quora or any of the same sites which have a lot of benefits as they also have built-in audiences and have high Domain ratings, Back Links, etc.

Our goal is to provide correct Information not to earn so, give the title to your blog as the main keyword, even you can just post one single article under that topic. Do On-page SEO. To do that you need to write plagiarism-free content, Include related Images or videos, and don’t forget to provide captions to all of them, Make your content more readable by providing Headings of different sizes as per need, and Create a Table of Contents in your Content. All of this stuff includes On-page SEO.

As for Off-page SEO, you need to request Google and Bing to index your content. This can be done if you are using Blogger or WordPress etc. But cannot be done if you are on Medium, Quora Space, Hubpages, etc. Use the Google search console to request Google for indexing your content. Now, wait to get backlinks for your content. And if you do all things correctly your article or content will rank first on Google and now you have correct information on Google.

This way will not just take effort but time and patience because if you do not know anything about SEO it may take months to learn SEO.

Google is a search engine that provides content from across the internet to the searcher according to the keyword searcher has searched for. So, if on any search The Information is wrong that means its the fault of that content creator and it’s not Google’s fault.
